• To create opportunities for storytellers
• To educate people, both listeners and tellers, about storytelling
• To seek out and respond to the needs of North Carolina storytellers

NC Storytelling Festival (events)
- coordinate tellers and logistics for the festival
- prepare schedule

Winter Workshop
- work with President to secure workshop presenters and workshop schedule

Winter Workshop Scholarship Committee
- a sub-committee of the Winter Workshop currently working on criteria and application

Retreat/Annual Meeting
- coordinate logistics of Retreat
- secure presenters and prepare schedule

Fundraising
- coordinate fundraising events during the year in conjunction with the board

Membership
- create ways of recruiting new members
- continue outreach to existing members for membership retention
- conduct membership drive

Publicity
- work with committees to send out publicity for events
- update publicity materials as needed

Youth Storytelling
- create ways of involving youth in storytelling events
- educate youth on importance of storytelling
